Set boundaries

setting boundaries for social media
  • Stop continuously refreshing your social media feeds. It's easy to get sucked into the social media vortex, so it's important to set time limits. Keep a timer for 30 minutes or an hour each day, and then log off.

  • Don't feel obligated to respond to every DM you receive. If you're feeling overwhelmed, you can set up a rule to auto-delete DMs from people you don't know.

  • You are not required to share every aspect of your life online. There's no rule that says you have to share every waking moment on social media. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing something, don't.

Take breaks

Taking a break from social Media
  • Time away from social media is recommended. That means putting down the phone, closing the laptop, and logging out of all your social media accounts for a while. If you're feeling burnt out, take a break from creating content or try a new approach to your content creation process.

Talk to someone

Talking to a therapist
  • Speak with a therapist. If you're having problems with your mental health, therapy may help. Therapy can help you understand your mental health, develop coping mechanisms, and create a treatment plan.

  • Communicate with someone you trust, like a friend or family member. They can empathise with you and help you see things from different perspectives, which may result in better problem-solving.

Take care of yourself

Self care isn't selfish
  • When you're well-rested, you're better able to cope with stress and anxiety. Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night.

  • To keep up with the hectic lifestyle of an influencer, it's important to fuel your body with nutritious foods. Make sure to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains in your diet.

  • Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and improve your mood. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.

If you're an influencer, it's important to remember that you're not alone. Many influencers struggle with their mental health. But by taking care of yourself and setting boundaries, you can protect your mental health and thrive as an influencer.
